A 100-member-strong youth delegation of Pakistan, with the budget of 23.3 Million, left for China and most of them are selected by the Minister himself.

The daughter of the Minister Shahid Bhutto, and so many close relatives of Additional Aecretary Saif Ullah Sherwani, Joint Secretary Naeem Baig, Deputy Secretary S.M Satti and Ammad Kiani and the son’s of few journalists in which the resident editor of a local newspaper, Javaid Sadique and famous columnist Javaid Chaudhry, are also enjoying the free trip of china in the name of 100-members-strong youth delegation
Have you saw this on television or read it on a newspaper that a delegation of 100-members-strong youth delegation from all walks of life of Pakistan is going to visit China on April 19, as a program of boosting exchanges between the two friendly countries?

I hope you didn’t, and the reason that how you missed this opportunity is because the Ministry of Youth Affairs didn’t publicize this, and why they didn’t publicize this whole event? Read the following details to know why.

A 100-member-strong youth delegation of Pakistan, with the budget of 23.3 Million, left for China on Sunday on a week-long visit as a program of boosting exchanges between the two friendly countries.

Chinese President Hu Jintao invited 500 young people from Pakistan to visit China within five years when he paid a state visit to Pakistan in November, 2006. The program was launched in 2007.

Charge d’Affairs Yao Jing of Chinese Embassy in Pakistan had said that “The youths from all walks of life of Pakistan will have the chance to look at China and know more about China” but the thing Mr. Yao Jing forgotten is to check whether all the members of this youth delegation has the ability to join this delegation?

According to sources inside the Ministry of Youth Affairs around 37 people out of 100 member of this youth delegation has been taken by the Minister of Youth Affairs Shahid Bhutto, himself from his own constituency.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary while declaring 2009 as Year of Justice has underscored the need of provision of justices at lower level.

Addressing the meeting of the Policy making committee of the National Judicial Council here on Saturday, he said, bar and bench would have to boost cooperation to stabilize the institution. The chief justices of high courts attended the meeting.

CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary urged for diverting the spirit of the lawyers’ movement towards provision of justice. The lawyers’ movement for independent judiciary and restoration of deposed judges was exemplary and earned appreciation at international level, he said.

Citizens of the country, he said, want justice. The meeting of the policy making committee will continue for two days in which the participants would finds ways and means to dispose off pending cases in the courts.

The extremists of a Hindu religious organisation, Shri Ram Sena attacked a group of Pakistani journalists in New Delhi on Wednesday.

According to an Indian news channel, the Shri Ram Sena extremists thronged New Delhi’s International Center where a meeting of Indo-Pak Forum was going on. They thrashed visiting Pakistani journalists and chanted anti-Pakistan slogans.

Later, an Indian journalist told a private TV channel that the person shown in the video footage was a Shri Ram Sena extremist and not a Pakistani journalist.

Sofia Bibi (23) resident of Mujahid Village situated in suburban area of Chountra who sustained serious burnt injuries three days ago, is fighting for her life in Holy Family Hospital.

The father and brothers accused her husband and nephew of attempting to burn Sofia Bibi alive, while Chountra Police has lodged FIR of self-immolation. The FIR contains statement of Sofia Bibi stating that she attempted self-immolation due to domestic disputes.

Chairperson Progressive Women Association, Shahnaz Bukhari demanded from President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and Advisor to Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik for an impartial investigation of the incident and official treatment of Sofia Bibi.

She further appealed for the strict action against Shaukat Mehmood and his nephew, stressing a necessary amendment in law against husbands who torture their wives.

Advisor to Prime Minister A. Rehman Malik has said Short Messaging Service (SMS) will be seized in Pakistan if the negative usage of this service will not be stopped.

While talking in a press briefing he said that severe actions will be taken against those who use this service for terrorisms and involved person will be charged under the act of terrorism.

It’s worth mentioning to know that currently 70% of the population in Pakistan is using mobile phones among which most them are those who send more than 500 text messages each day.

The seizing of SMS will be a big shock for these text addicts also for the mobile companies as this service is a big source of income for these cellular companies.

Whenever there is an attack in Pakistan, the first condemning statement came from the person is none other than the Minister of Interior Rehman Malik, and most of the time the statement starts with the line “we already knew about this attack”.

Now it is quite strange that if the Minister and his team already knew about every ongoing attack then why do they let this attack happened?

It is very clear that Mr. Malik and his team is totally failed to provide security to the citizens of Pakistan even the most high security zones are now not safe.

The question now rises that what is the duty of Rehman Malik if he is unable to provide security?

Is he only responsible to come in front of media and explain how the attacker came and how he blown himself up?

Is his duty is to visit the injured persons and give them bouquets and a basket of fruit?

To talk about all this is not a criticism against Rehman Malik in fact it’s against our Minister of Interior who is responsible to provide security and if he is failed then he is not the right man for the ministry he should joined the ministry which better suits him.

A really close associate of Rehman Malik has informed that since Malik joined interior Ministry the expenditures has been doubled “His breakfast, lunch and dinner came from Marriot since he has joined the Ministry” he added.

It also revealed that the minister does not like to travel in passenger flights; wherever he goes outside the capital he hires a charted aircraft.

This is the only man who has not only been criticized by the opposition but also by his own partymen but why he is still in government? Nobody knows.
