Federal Minister for Interior Affairs, Rehman Malik has said that the reward against information leading to arrest or death of the head of Tehrik-e-Taliban Swat (TTS), Maulvi Fazlullah has been increased from Rs 5 million to Rs 50 million.
Talking to newsmen before his departure to Islamabad at Quaid-I-Azam International Airport Karachi, the interior minister said that war against Taliban would continue till the elimination of last militant.
” Intelligence agencies have succeeded in breaking the network of terrorist in Swat and other troubled areas forcing them to flee under the guise of displaced persons”, Malik observed.
He said that Taliban leaders were hiring tribal youths against 60 dollars per day and training them to fight against army and conduct suicide attacks in the country.
” But this will not continue for a long period. The nation has got united against these terrorists, who have nothing to do with Islam or Jihad”, Malik maintained.
The interior minister said the government had issued directives to the authorities of national database registration authority (NADRA) to accelerate the process of IDPs’ registration so that the terrorists masquerading themselves as displaced persons could be singled out.
” All the shelter camps are being strictly monitored as militants may take shelter under the guise of affected people there”, he said.

Holding Taliban responsible for Swat operation, Malik said the nation would soon get rid of this menace.
” We have managed to penetrate into the Taliban’s network, and their hideouts are being destroyed on the basis of intelligence information. The nation will soon get rid of them”, he contended.
To a question, he said the militants were behind the fresh wave of terrorist attacks in the Country; therefore the level of ongoing military operations could be extended to other areas if required.
The interior minister said the security agencies had been put on high alert keeping in view the security threats in the wake of ongoing military operations.
According to announcements, the bounty on the head of commander Tehrik-e-Taliban, Swat, Fazlullah carries a price of Rs 50 million, while others like Muslim Khan, spokesman of Maulana Fazlullah, Shah Dauran, naib Ameer of Fazlullah, Mehmood Khan, commander of Kuza Banda village, Akbar Hussain, commander Kabal, Sher Muhammad Qasab, local commander Charbagh, Siraj-Ud-Din, commander Malam Jabba, Bakht Farzand, commander Matta, Mian Gul Ghafoor, local commander Kuza Banda village, Nisar Ahmad , local commander Matta, Lal Din alias Baray Mian , commander Toro Banda, Anwar Ullah , commander Kuza Bama Khel, Bashir Ahmad, active member (Maulana Fazal Ullah group) Sultan Hussain, active militant (Maulana Fazal ullah group) , Anwar ullah alias Anwar, commander Kuza Bama Khel, Bashir Ahmad, active member (Maulana Fazal ullah group) , Sultan Hussain , active militant (Maulana Fazal Ullah group), Rashid Ahmad, active member (Maulana Fazal Ullah group), and Ibn-Amin local commander Namal each carries a head price of Rs. 10 million
