Musharraf’s security comes under fire in UK Parliament
British Parliament strongly criticized British Home Department for providing security to former president of Pakistan, Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf.
According to Private TV Channel report, a letter has been submitted in the British Parliament with the subject matter of provision of security to the foreigners. It has also enquired about the security provided to former President of Pakistan Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf on both his private or official visits.
It is said in the application that six security guards are deputed to Pervez Musharraf for his security. If he is being provided with official security then how much it cost and what is the share of government of Pakistan in this connection.
Lord Nazir, Member of the British Parliament told that whenever Pervez Musharraf travels in Britain, six security guards always remain with him for his security.
Lord Nazir said that being a member of the house he has the right to inquire from the Home Department that on which basis Musharraf is being provided with security. How many presidents of rest of the countries are being provided with such security?, he added
The answer and detail discussion on this issue will be held in next session of the British Parliament.
