Talking to BBC from unknown destination, acting Amir of TTP, Moulvi Faqir Muhammad categorically refuted it that Baitullah Mehsud had been killed. It was will of Baitullah Mehsud that new Amir of TTP be nominated during his life span. Baitullah Mehsud had not been killed but he was ailing therefore, he was absconding.
42-member Shoora had unanimously nominated Hakim Ullah Mehsud new Amir of TTP, he indicated. The Shoora met in Orakzai agency, which was attended by warring Taliban from Bundoo Basti besides Taliban from tribal areas, he added.
To a question he said TTP was ever ready to talk to Pakistan but holding positive talks with Taliban and maintaining law and order situation in the area was beyond the powers of Pakistan. Foreign forces were keeping under their control all the powers of Pakistan, he alleged.
