Ramazan-ul-Mubarik starts from today

The holy month of Ramazan-ul-Mubarik is starting from Sunday (today) with religious spirit and honor.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani congratulated the whole nation and Muslim-e-Umma on the arrival of the holy month, saying, Islam teaches moderation and patience instead of militancy, extremism.

They said Pakistan is passing through critical juncture and the democratic government is committed to pulling out it from this crucial time.

“We should remember the affected people of Malakand in this month because the basic aim of fasting is the construction of character”, they remarked.

In their separate messages, President and Prime Minister said during this month Quran was revealed, which is fountainhead of directions for the whole humanity, adding, fasters avoid from such acts, which invite Allah angriness.

They said Islam is the religion of peace and guardian of human welfare and added that it also teaches moderation despite militancy and extremism.

Pakistan is passing through a critical juncture and the democratic government was giving full attention to resolve the problems of masses, they added.

Referring to Swat affectees, they said that we should remember the Swat affectees during the holy month of Ramazan and we should avoid ourselves from differences by keeping unity and brotherhood.

They were of the view that Ramazan guarantees blessings and freedom from hell and its basic aim is piousness.

They advised the Muslims to fast with respect and prove you to be a good Muslim.
