Pakistan again demands US to release $1.6 billion under CSF
Pakistan on Thursday once again demanded from US to immediately release 1.6 billion dollars under Coalition Support Fund.
According to Ministry of Finance Sources, US has to pay Pakistan huge sum of money under Coalition Support Fund while the payment of money by the US is quite sluggish as Pakistan cannot wait long in such dire consequences relating to country’s economy.
Pakistan needs the fund to cater to its deteriorating economy and to fulfill its defense and armed forces requirements.
Sources say that expenditures worth100 million dollars are coming every month in siding with the US on war on terror and the funds provided by the US are quite slim as compared to the expenditures.
The last installment provided by the US was released in the beginning of the prevailing year and after that Pakistan did not receive any thing.
The problems of Pakistan are augmenting with each day passing.
Sources further added that President Asif Ali Zardari during his visit to United States later this month will raise the issue with his counterpart Barack Obama thus will urge him to provide finances under Coalition Support Fund immediately.
