Terrorists fleeing to Yemen, Sudan, Somalia from Waziristan, says Rehman
Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has disclosed that the terrorists belonging to Al-Qaeda and other banned organizations are fleeing to Yemen, Sudan and Somalia from Waziristan because of military operation Rah-e-Nijat against them.
“We are receiving information that the terrorists are fleeing to Yemen, Sudan and Somalia from Waziristan”, he said this in an exclusive chat with Private TV Channel.
Answering to a question, the interior minister went on to say, Group of Al-Qaeda in Yemen, Sudan and Somalia are also assisting terrorists and extremists in Pakistan especially in border areas.
He also disclosed that some tribesmen living near to Pakistan-Afghan border area are also giving shelters to Al-Qaeda terrorists but the situation is quite different in Swat because there locals are assisting security forces to arrest or identify terrorists.
We have also information that all 7 groups who were merged in banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan are fighting with each other after death of their Supreme Commander Baitullah Mehsud, he said.
Replying to a question, he said, the interior ministry is preparing data base of foreigners living in different areas of the country and they would be scrutinized.
He made it clear action would be taken against those foreigners who are living in Pakistan illegally and those who give shelter to them without approval of concerned administration would also be punished.
