No regrets, says Musharraf
Defending his undemocratic and unconstitutional decisions, Former President Pervez Musharraf has said that he has no regret over decisions taken by him as under circumstances, these decisions were right.
Talking to a private TV channel in Washington, the former president said that he has no plans to settle outside of the country and will decide his future plan in accordance with aspirations of people of the country.
Responding to a question, Pervez Musharraf said that he was ready to serve for Pakistan, if the people were interested and he can do a lot in the interest of the country.
Expressing his views on detailed verdict of the Supreme Court, the former President said that he was not surprised over the decision as it was expected.
Commenting on cases filed against him in Pakistan, the former president said that he was ready to face all charges leveled against him in court and he has no pressure in this regard.
Asked about his engagements in the United States, the former president said that the US officials giving importance to his opinions and discussed the worsening situation of the region. Pervez Musharraf said that he visited Congress and Senate and held meetings with important persons and informed them the situation about Al-Qaida and Taliban.
The former president advised the US to take decisions regarding Afghanistan seriously as any decision would have far-reaching affect not only in Afghanistan and region but on the entire world.
Answering a question, General (retd) Pervez Musharraf said that he was happy over warm welcome given to him in the United States.
