Proofs of Indian involvement handed over to foreign ministry: Malik

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that the evidences of Indian involvement in Pakistan’s affairs have been handed over to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, saying the issue of smuggling of weapons would be raised with Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

Talking to media men here after holding meeting with Ulemas, the interior minister said that the foreign ministry is working on the evidences of Indian involvement in Pakistan’s internal matters.

Rehman Malik said: “Pakistan wants that the composite dialogue process to be resumed and to share the evidences and discuss with Indian officials.”

On smuggling of weapons from Afghanistan, the minister said that the issue has been raised with Afghan President Hamid Karzai and high US leadership on many occasions.

Responding to a question, the minister said that 3 frequented routes were used on 2200-kilometer Pak-Afghan border and biometric checkposts would be installed at the end of next month to stop cross border movement.

He said that the control and management of Pak-Afghan border would be improved after signing of an action plan with the Afghan government.

Responding to question, the minister said that Osama Bin Laden and higher leadership of Al-Qaida are not in Pakistan and if anyone has the information should share with Pakistan as its forces have the capability to take action.

Asked about drone attacks in Pakistan, Rehman Malik said that no one would be allowed to carry out drone attacks in Pakistan, adding the join session of the Parliament had already passed a resolution in this regard.

Answering to a question, the minister said that crackdown would be held against organizations working after changing of their names. He said that no one would be allowed to cast evil eye on Pakistan.

He said that after the issuing of Fatwa from religious scholars, there is no justification of suicide attacks in Pakistan.
