Reshuffle in Federal Cabinet to take place in two steps

The fresh reshuffle in the Federal Cabinet will take place in two steps in which portfolio of ten Federal Ministers will be replaced or they will be sacked while nine state ministers will also be removed from their offices.

Official sources told that Chaudhary Aitzaz Ahsan has been offered the slot of Interior Minister while government has also given signal to make Safdar Abbasi part of the Federal Cabinet.

Meanwhile, Sources added that the prime minister has once again offered Senator Raza Rabbani the portfolio of the Minister for Law that is lying vacant, but he has rejected the government’s offer.

Reliable sources further told that regarding the fresh likely reshuffle in Federal Cabinet that first phase of reshuffle in Federal Cabinet will be held in the current month while the second phase of reshuffle in Federal Cabinet will take place in first week of February.

In the first phase ten Federal ministers will be removed or their portfolio will be replaced. Among these ten ministers the portfolio of Federal Minister for Livestock and Dairy Development, Humayun Aziz Kurd, Minister for State and Frontier Region, Najam ud Din Khan, Minister for Labour and Manpower, Syed Khursheed Shah, Atta ur Rehman and Raja Pervez Ashraf will be changed while Lal Muhammad Khan of Special Initiative, Shahid Hussain Bhutto of Youth Affairs, Noor-ul-Haq Qadri of Zakat and Ushr, Rana Farooq and Mumtaz Hussain Gilani will be removed from their office.

Among the state ministers, Arbab Muhammad Zahir, State minister for Defence, Rafique Ahmed Jamali of Food and Agriculture, Muhammad Tariq Anis of Housing and Works, Abdul Raziq of Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas, Masood Abbas of Local Government and Rural Development, Shagufta Jamani, Ghulam Fareed Kathia, Sardar Saleem Haider and Imtiaz Safdar Warriach will also be sacked.
