PM orders for merging of ministry of parliamentary affairs into ministry of law and justice
Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani has ordered for merging of two ministries and abolition of one ministry.
Prime Minister has abolished ministry for parliamentary affairs and merged it into ministry for law and justice. New ministry will be named as ministry for law, justice and parliamentary affairs.
Earlier prime minister amalgamated two ministries of investment and privatization and abolished ministry for planning division. Prime Minister has issued the orders for merging of these ministries in the light of recommendations of austerity committee. The committee had recommended that the size of cabinet be reduced from 49 to 40 or 30. The strength of ministries had now been reduced to 46 following the decision of this prime minister.
