Lakki Marwat attack: 85 killed in Lakki Marwat suicide attack
Atleast 85 people were killed and over 100 seriously injured in a suicide bomb blast in the city of NWFP, Lakki Marwat on Friday, according to State Run TV.
According to details, 85 people were killed and several other wounded after a suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into the wall of a volleyball ground at Shah Hassankhel town in Lakki Marwat. Two locals teams were involved in a match.
Laki Marwat DPO Ayub Khan confirmed that the bomber was driving a car when he exploded himself at the volleyball ground in Laki Marwat.
The DPO said the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital. He said that a nearby house also collapsed after the blast.
Some children are buried in this debris, according to reports.
DPO went on to say that emergency has been declared all hospitals.
On the other hand, Member NWFP Assembly Anwar Kamal Marwat said that nine people are killed in the gruesome attack.
An eyewitness on the other hand added that near the ground a house was located that included women and children which collapsed after the blast as it was very ruthless and sound could be heard till distant places.
The Shah Hassankhel is said to be the hub of militants who were forced to flee the area with the help of peace committees.
